K - 5 Program
The Redlands eAcademy is excited to offer a blended learning program designed specifically for elementary grades. Parent participation is required and is key to student success. Much will be required of the parent or guardian. Parents who do not feel comfortable working directly with their child or are not home during the day are discouraged from enrolling.
Students attend class in small groups of students with a teacher for 6 hours per week, plus PE and optional tutoring. Parents of students in grades TK and K are required to meet weekly with the teacher on our campus to review the previous assignments and to go over the new assignments. Parents of 1st-5th grade students may also meet regularly with the teacher if desired or requested. At home, the parent is expected to read with their child, help with assignments and projects and ensure that learning activities take place daily.
Students are required to attend all state testing sessions and district assessments. The elementary curriculum is State standards-based and prepares students for middle school.
Classes are capped at 6 students per class in grades TK, K, & 1, and 8 students per class in grades 2-5.
Schedules for each grade and class are available here.
